Bouncy Castle Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based?
We are located in Rangiora, which is just north of Christchurch.

Where do you deliver, and is it free delivery?
We deliver from Christchurch to Rangiora free of charge. If you live a bit further out, please contact us, as there might be a small delivery charge.

Can I pick the castle up myself?
No. We deliver the castle, and set it up. This is to ensure that it is set-up correctly, and that there are no faults with it.

Can I have the castle overnight?
We don't allow overnight hires.

Do I have to pay a bond, or pay in advance?
We do not operate a bond system, or payment in advance. Our only conditions are that we receive payment on delivery of the castle.

How long is the hire period, and what happens if we want it a bit longer?
The standard hire period is four hours. If you would like an extra hour or so, please let us know when you make the booking.

Do I need a generator?
The castles run on power, and we carry long extension cords. If you are hiring it in a park, or in a location where no power is available, then we will require a generator. We hire these out with the castles for an extra $60. Alternatively, you can provide your own (A 2.4KW generator is required)

What about the weather?
If it rains, the castle will have to be turned off. This is because the blowers (the motor that keeps the castle blown up) runs on electricity. They must be kept out of the weather.
If it is too windy, then the castle will also have to be turned off. It is hard to determine what is "too windy", and what isn't, so this is a decision that we will have to make on the day of the hire.

What about cancelled bookings?
If the booking is cancelled due to weather conditions, then there is no charge (it's not your fault it rains is it!). However, if you cancel for other reasons, and don't give us enough notice, we may ask you to pay a portion of the hire fee (50%).

What else do I need to do?
We deliver the castle, set it up and walk away. At the end of the hire period, we will return and collect the castle. We do not stay with the castles, so you will have to ensure that adequite adult supervision is available at all times.
